What are your thoughts on this disaster?
How will it impact the Gulf of Mexico? The wildlife? The people who live on the Gulf Coast? The US economy?
Does it change your views of offshore drilling or oil consuption? Explain.

My Thoughts on this disaster is that technology could becoming to advance even for us. We may have produced all of these machines but can we fully understand what these machines can do? The oil rig was one perfect example because we couldnt stop the malfunction millions of aquatic lifes are paying. We need to look more carefully at our technology today before something worse happens.
ReplyDeletealot of sea creatures will be affected along with the polluted water in the sea.
ReplyDeleteNow since the oil spill in mexico it will have a great affect on the economy with prices raising sky high in addition to the work to clean up the mess.
yeah they should drill their or if they have to they should find a safe mecanisum.
my thoughts on the disater is that someone put bombs on the boat and waited till they got really far out and boom. it will impact the ocean by the life of the fish and wildlife by killing them. it changes the views of me ever going swimming again
ReplyDeleteMy thought to the oil spill is that it is horrible. Hopefully the thing they built will help the animals in the ocean. Everything is dying, so if they get it cleaned up I think it will help a lot. The people that fish there probably mad I would be if I fished there. It is not a good thing to have it under water. So I think they should of built it on top of water so nothing would be this bad, as it is right now.
ReplyDeleteI think that this disaster is going to make gas prices rise some until they fix the leak. Already the gas prices have risen from $2.85 to $2.95 in some areas. I also believe that the people who fish in the gulf are going to be real upset because the oil will kill a lot of the fish in the gulf.
ReplyDeleteI think that the people who are in charge of the oil drilling should have been more cautious in the first place. In this one little mistake countless numbers of plants and animals are being harmed and even killed. This will also make the prices of oil and shrimp skyrocket, so people are stocking up on them now. Before this incident i really didn't care about offshore drilling but now I don't support it one bit.
ReplyDeleteThis sucks! Not only are we losing countless amounts of money, but we are also losing countless amounts of plants and wildlife. The clean up costs are estimated at 10 billion dollars, there goes the economy.
