Why is it important to remember those in the “forgotten war”? Do you know anyone who has served in this war? Why is it important to recognize them now, when it occurred so long ago? Is it important to honor veterans of major wars or conflicts, or anyone who has served this country? If you served our country would you want a ceremony thanking you, or is the pride you feel from serving good enough?

  1. I think that you have to remember the people who i diedfor OUR country because they gave their life for OUR freedom. And to me thats amazing courage. My cousin is currently in Iraq. It it very important to honor the veterans of war because they did it for OUR country. If i served for my country the pride i had from serving would be more than enough

  4. It is important to remember those in the "forgotten war" because although the war wasn't a huge part of our nation's history, those men and women still put their lives on the line so that our nation could be free, grow, and prosper. My grandpa who died 3 years ago served in the Korean War and was very proud of himself for serving his country. My family and I were very proud of him as well. It is important to still remember the troops in this forgotten and long passed war because even though it happened long ago, you should still remember and honor the troops that put their lives on the line to be of some assistance to an ally in need. It is very important to honor anyone that has been or still is in the armed forces because without them our naation would be nothing. If I fought for my country and served it well, the pride that I would have from serving could be good enough. Having a ceremony honoring me for serving my country would be an additional gift of pride and honor.
